My real estate practice specializes in helping homeowners that might be facing mortgage difficulties. If the homeowner wants to stay in the home and try to get a mortgage modification, I'll help with that. If they've had a mortgage modification that isn't working and the lender has told them that their only options are a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure or a short sale, I'm the very best that you'll find for a Maine short sale transaction and the lender will pay for my services.
I've received extensive training with the Distressed Property Institute (www.CDPE.com), I'm one of the few Realtors in Maine with CDPEAdvanced training. I've committed to a series of webinars every month for ongoing training as lenders and government programs are changing at a feverish pace and only Advanced CDPE's have access to this ongoing training. I'm also certified with the National Association of Realtors as a SFR, short sales & foreclosure resource.
I'm one of the few Realtors doing Maine short sales that handles your file from start to finish. Many Realtors are outsourcing your file to 3rd party loss mitigation companies but I feel that my client has a better chance at a quality short sale submission if I do it all. CDPE's have been trained to do the entire short sale process but not all practice this method as I do.

The Maine Real Estate Network, a Maine-owned real estate agency, had the foresight to start a new short sale division because of the many Maine homeowner's that are facing mortgage difficulties. As head of this new division, I work with our nearly 70 agents when they encounter a Maine short sale situation whether they have the buyer or seller. If the homeowner wants to stay in the property via a loan modification, we'll work to that end even though we won't earn a commission. We want to help with this national problem and if we're sucessful with our clients, they'll refer us to their friends and family.
